Wave 2: From Genesis to Beyond

If you were a part of Season 1's Genesis Rolldrop, a historic community airdrop distributing over $400 million in DYM, you helped kickstart one of the most ambitious blockchain projects to date.

However, since introducing Dymension at mainnet launch the protocol has rapidly evolved. Now, with the Beyond upgrade on the horizon, Dymension Season 2 is ready to welcome S1 participants (Genesis Rolldrop).

If you received an allocation on Genesis and have at least 17 DYM staked currently (can stake it now), you are eligible!

What’s new since S1?

Since Genesis, Dymension has grown into one of the most comprehensive blockchains in the industry. Users are able to permissionlessly launch their own L2 using Dymension’s launchpad.

With Dymension’s Launchpad platform users launch tokens that may transform into their own Layer 2 blockchain and further ecosystem. Unlike other launchpads that stop at meme-coin, Dymension enables fair liquidity bootstrapping along with utility for tokens to become their own blockchains.

How Can S1 Participants Join Season 2?

  1. Register Your Wallet

You must stake a minimum of 17 DYM and register to participate in S2, even if you participated in S1. Registering and staking the minimum DYM can be done now or at any other time during the 7 days of wave 2. Make sure to register before wave ends as it won't be possible to register for wave 2 after the deadline.

  1. Understand Registration Waves

Season 2 opens in “waves”, phased entry windows for different user groups. If you received DYM allocation on Genesis you are now eligible for S2.

  1. Activate Your S2 Journey

Once registered, you can start earning DYMONDs through onchain activity. Season 2 rewards active users, builders, and those bringing new value onchain.

How to Earn DYMONDs in Season 2

Dymension is rewarding action, not just holding. S2 is all about further building your stake in the ecosystem:

  • Trade Launchpad tokens & provide liquidity
  • Bridge and hold USDC from Solana, Arbitrum, or Base
  • Deposit assets into Dymension LPs
  • Increase TVL in your RollApp or the ecosystem
  • Refer friends and earn a 10% bonus on all DYMONDs they accrue

All onchain rewards are converted into DYMONDs, which you can claim as DYM in designated claim offers or at the season’s end.

Staking Boost

To maximize DYMOND earnings, staking boosts apply a multiplier to all rewards. These boosts are calculated based on both the amount of DYM staked and the duration of your stake. Boosts can multiply each DYMOND earned by up to 5x, making active participation extremely lucrative for long time stakers.

Season 2 Finish-line

Season 2 will be an ongoing event that will last at least several months. Leaving before the end will be possible (see next paragraph), however, note that S2 is designed to skew reward size towards users who will arrive at the finish-line.

Claim Offers

Claim Offers are several criteria-based claim windows - limited timeframes spread throughout Season 2 that present a choice: stay to earn more DYMONDs or exchange them for DYM.

Claiming DYM for your DYMONDs ends your journey in S2.

Each Claim Offer is unique with varying settings: timeframe, eligibility criteria, exchange offer etc. While each Claim Offer provide an option to exchange DYMOND for DYM, users who choose to keep participating until the end of Season 2 unlock access to the biggest rewards.
